How to Design the Perfect Love Lock: A Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Choose Your Color

We offer 8 colors: Red, Black, Gold, Green, Blue, Purple, Pink, and Orange. Each lock is made from anodized aluminum — the laser engraving removes the colored coating to reveal bright, bare aluminum beneath. This means your engraving will always be silver/metallic against the colored background.

Tip: Red is our most popular for romance. Black is elegant and versatile. Gold feels premium and celebratory. Choose a color that matches the occasion and the recipient.

Step 2: Pick a Template or Start Blank

Step 3: Add Your Text

Choose from dozens of fonts — from elegant scripts like Great Vibes and Allura for romantic locks, to bold faces like Permanent Marker for impact. Size, position, and rotate your text to fit the design perfectly.

Tip: Less is often more. Names and a date on the front, a message on the back. Don't try to fit a paragraph — the engraving area rewards clarity and intention.

Step 4: Add Artwork
